“The Workshop Exceeded my Expectations”
This is my fourth year of running the 4 Week Online Flipped Classroom workshops. It's been a lot of fun and hundreds of educators have taken advantage of this very affordable and easy to access professional development opportunity.
Teachers, trainers, technologists, administrators, and other educators regularly share encouraging feedback upon completion of the workshop. It is very rewarding to be able to work with other teachers and help them explore the power and potential of flipped teaching and learning.
The next workshop starts in a couple weeks – on July 5. We run them three times a year, in February, July, and October. Click here to access the workshop page where you can read about the workshop's learning objectives and activities, review feedback from other educators, and sign up if you wish.
Feedback from Workshop Participants
Here is just a small selection of the wonderful comments that have been written in the post-workshop survey I do to keep assessing what works best and where there are opportunities for improvement. More (and longer) comments are listed at the bottom of the workshop registration page.
“I encourage all teachers, from public school to college, to take this course if you are not already incorporating flipped classes in your curriculum.”
“I loved how the material was presented and the amount of time was perfect.”
“I feel much more confident about flipping my classroom. Plus there are so many tools that I am now aware of.”
“The book was phenomenal! At this point I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed this course and have already recommended it to others and plan to continue. Thank you for a job well done!”
“My head is spinning with all of the great ideas that I gained from this workshop — and especially from our discussions. I am going to try to get on the agenda for an upcoming all-school meeting to share some of the ideas from this workshop.”
“The resources that I now have to solve many of the road blocks I was having.”
“The wealth of information provided about flipping classes – articles, websites, technology, and the online book … the right pace and amount of work assigned for a summer learning experience.”
“The workshop exceeded my expectations. I learned about so many resources and techniques to use for flipping content. Thanks Kelly for providing this experience.”
We've already got a good sized group for the summer workshop, but there's room for a few more. If you've got other plans this summer, I hope you'll consider joining us this October!
I am also running a one day workshop on Thursday, November 12 in Raleigh, North Carolina as one of the TLIPAD 2015 pre-conference workshops (I'm also working to arrange one in White Plains, NY this fall as well).
