John Balash has been involved in education on every level, from elementary to graduate level, on both sides of the desk. From starting as a teaching assistant in after school and summer programs to directing educational programs, John’s unique experience enables him to strategize creative solutions for today’s hectic classroom that help both teachers and students. He received a B.A. in Fine Art and Graphic Design with a Licensure in Education, and his Masters in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. From his 7+ years in the classroom, John has developed innovative technology curricula for a variety of programs. John currently teaches Game Design Fundamentals at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. The classroom moment John enjoys the most is when students realize (again) that learning is an innately enjoyable and exciting experience.
