Welcome to “Emerging Internet Technologies in Education”! The possibilities for the use of current and emerging internet technologies in the education field are limitless, and there is so much potential to tap into. I will offer information, instruction, and opinion on many available tools, and how they have been used, or can be used, in the educational environment.

My qualifications
As for my qualifications to blog on this topic, I have been in the information technology field for over 20 years, working at a senior management level for more than half of that time. I have been an avid user of Internet technologies for many of those years, and last year I began working for an institution of higher education, and started focusing a great deal of attention on instructional uses of current and emerging Internet technologies.
