Today Microsoft “Partners in Learning [1]“ announced a strategic partnership with the Smithsonian [2] and TakingITGlobal [3], called “Shout”. According to their website, www.shoutlearning.com [4], “Shout invites educators and students to take an active role in global environmental issues.”
[5]
Starting next week, the Shout program will issue a new challenge every two months to students and educators everywhere through a Webcast. Students can connect through the website with experts in the field and collaborate with people around the world committed to solving environmental challenges.
I love this kind of thing - it really shows the power of the Internet and offers a great chance for students and educators to share an impactful, global experience. Click on through to the website [5] to learn more.
