Web 2.0 is “the future of education”

by K. Walsh on February 8, 2009

This interesting article from Steve Hargadon’s blog captured a lot of people’s attention when he posted it late last year: http://www.stevehargadon.com/2008/03/web-20-is-future-of-education.html.

Mr. Hargadon writes passionately about the topic, and identifies 10 trends under way thanks to the evolution of Web 2.0. The article generated many comments and dozens of external links to it. There is a lot of useful information packed into this article, and it contains references and links to an array of related web content.

Steve’s web site and blog is, in my opinion, one of the best ‘web 2.0 and education’ focused sites out there, and is absolutely worth a look, and subscribing to, for those of us interested in this topic. (See link in my Blogroll listing).

Great post. I completely agree with you that Web 2.0 indeed represents the future of education and how students are educated in schools and beyond.

PS. I am also a great fan of Steve’s blog.
